KURUKSHETRA: A woman walking home with her two children confronted three masked robbers during an attempted snatching on the Ambala-Hisar highway .




One of the accused allegedly pointed a revolver at her head, while another snatched a gold earring. The woman suffered a bleeding injury to her ear while resisting the accused and managed to save her second earring.




The incident took place near the entry point of National Highway 152-D, shortly after Beant Kaur of Chammu Kalan village got off a bus at Gangheri village bus stand with her son and daughter.




According to her complaint, the three masked men riding a motorcycle intercepted them after they crossed the bridge. One accused allegedly pointed a revolver at her head while another snatched her gold earring.




When the accused tried to take her second earring, Beant resisted and grappled with one of them. Her ear was injured and began bleeding during the struggle, but she managed to prevent the second earring from being snatched.




Her children also joined her in resisting the accused. The robbers allegedly pointed the revolver at her son to intimidate them, but the family continued raising an alarm.




The accused eventually abandoned their attempt and fled towards Ismailabad on their motorcycle.




After being informed, Beant’s family reached the spot and alerted police. She told investigators that she could identify the accused if brought before her.




Police have registered a snatching case at Ismailabad police station and launched an investigation.




Teams from Ismailabad police station and the CIA are examining CCTV footage from the highway and surrounding areas to identify and trace the suspects.




Ismailabad SHO inspector Satish Kumar said police had obtained CCTV footage and were working to identify the accused. He said efforts were underway to arrest them.
