The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has cancelled the typing and computer proficiency test and the document verification (scheduled for February 25) for the Lower Division Clerk (LDC) recruitment under Advertisement No. 43/2025. Find out when the exam will be held again.
The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has cancelled the typing and computer proficiency test and the document verification process associated with the Lower Division Clerk (LDC) recruitment under Advertisement No. 43/2025. The Commission has cited technical reasons for this decision. However, the notice does not provide specific details regarding the technical issue. Dates for the rescheduled exam and document verification will be announced soon.
What is the full story?
Candidates preparing for the government post of Lower Division Clerk (LDC) have suffered a major setback. BPSC has cancelled the typing and computer proficiency test that was part of the ongoing recruitment process under Advertisement No. 43/2025. Consequently, the document verification for candidates previously called based on this exam will no longer be valid. The Commission cited technical reasons for cancelling both the exam and the document verification in its notice, though details of the technical issue have not been made public.
Exam held on January 17 and 18
BPSC conducted the typing and computer proficiency test for the LDC recruitment across multiple shifts on January 17 and 18, 2026. The exam assessed candidates' typing and computer-related skills, and candidates were shortlisted for the next stage of the process based on the results. Now, citing technical reasons, the Commission has cancelled the exam itself. This effectively means that the results prepared based on this exam are no longer valid.
Document verification scheduled for February 25 also cancelled
Candidates who had been called for document verification based on the results of the typing and computer proficiency test have also faced a significant setback. Their document verification was scheduled for February 25, 2026. The BPSC has now cancelled this document verification process as well. Information regarding the new date and the subsequent procedure will be provided by the Commission later.
Will the typing test have to be taken again?
Following the BPSC's recent decision, the biggest question is whether candidates who took the typing and computer proficiency test in January will be required to retake it. It is worth noting that the Commission has not yet announced a new date for the exam. Consequently, it remains unclear whether all eligible candidates will have to retake the typing and computer test or if the Commission will proceed via a different method. Candidates will have to await the next official notice from the BPSC regarding this matter.
