Lucknow. During the grand opening ceremony of UPT20 League Season 4, League Chairman Sanjay Kapoor made a big announcement regarding the future of the tournament. He said that in the coming time, UPT20 League matches will also be organized in cities like Varanasi and Gorakhpur.


In the program organized at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in the presence of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla and thousands of spectators, Sanjay Kapoor talked about the cricket talent of Uttar Pradesh and the expansion of the league.


Sanjay Kapoor said that UPT20 League has changed the atmosphere of cricket in the state. It is not just a cricket tournament but a celebration for the entire Uttar Pradesh. He expressed gratitude for the support of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla.


He also mentioned the success of the 'Speed ​​Hunt' campaign launched for the league. He told that through this grassroot talent hunt, many talented players from rural areas got a chance to come forward. These players were selected with complete transparency and are now part of all six teams of the UPT20 League.


Sanjay Kapoor said that these players getting bid for lakhs of rupees in the auction proves that there is no dearth of talent in Uttar Pradesh. The only need is to give them the right platform.


Describing the plans for expansion of the league, he said that at present the UPT20 League matches are being organized in Lucknow and Kanpur, but in the coming time, matches will also be organized in Varanasi, Gorakhpur and other cities.


He said that there is no dearth of cricket talent in Uttar Pradesh and the aim of the league is to give opportunities to more and more players and take cricket to new heights in the state.
