Saif Ali Khan told that in this film, Akshay Kumar will be seen in the role of a very powerful and dangerous villain. He said that seeing Akshay in such a character will be a different experience in itself. Describing Akshay as his elder brother, Saif said that their friendship is almost three decades old and there has always been mutual respect and excellent coordination between them.

Although the story of Haiwaan is quite serious and full of thrills, the atmosphere during the shooting was completely different. Saif told that he and Akshay often used to joke on the sets. Many times, due to his mischief, director Priyadarshan had to explain and scold him like a child.

However, Saif made it clear that Haiwaan should not be linked with that film, because it is a completely different genre of film. Saif also said that if a good and strong comedy script is available in the future, he is ready to do a comedy film with Akshay Kumar once again. Currently, the audience will get to see a new and exciting look of both the stars in Haiwaan.
