Harmanpreet Kaur: Indian women’s cricket team captain Harmanpreet Kaur created history in the match against South Africa. She achieved a milestone which no male or female cricketer had ever achieved before. The 18th match of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2026 is being played between India and South Africa in Manchester, which is Harman’s 200th T20 International match.


First cricketer to play 200 matches


Harmanpreet Kaur has become the first cricketer in the world to play 200 T20 International matches. It is worth noting that till now no male cricketer has been able to achieve this feat. Paul Stirling holds the record of playing the maximum number of 163 T20 International matches in men’s cricket.


Rohit Sharma at number two


Rohit Sharma, who is second in the overall list and has retired from T20Is, has played the most matches for India. Rohit has played 159 T20 International matches in his career.


A special jersey given to Harmanpreet Kaur


Ahead of the India vs South Africa match in the Women’s World Cup, vice-captain Smriti Mandhana and head coach Amol Majumdar presented Harmanpreet Kaur with a special ‘200’ jersey and cap signed by the entire team.
