IPL 2026: Royal Challengers Bangalore has become the first team to reach the final of IPL 2026. RCB has reached the final for the second consecutive season. In Qualifier-1 played in Dharamshala, Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Gujarat Titans by 92 runs. The score of 254 runs was scored on the basis of captain Rajat Patidar’s unbeaten inning of 93 runs. In reply, Gujarat Titans were reduced to 162 runs. Jacob Duffy, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Josh Hazlewood and Rasikh Salam bowled lethally and took the team to the final.
Captain Shubman Gill and Sai Sudarshan started the innings of Gujarat Titans to chase the target of 255 runs given by Royal Challengers Bangalore. Both the batsmen quickly returned to the pavilion. Sai Sudarshan’s own bat hit the wicket and he was out after scoring only 14 runs. After this, Shubhman Gill became the victim of Bhuvneshwar Kumar after scoring only 2 runs.
After this, Jos Buttler was out after playing a short but explosive innings. He was walked by Josh Hazlewood. Butler played an inning of 29 runs in 11 balls, which included 4 fours and 2 sixes. After this, in the same over, Rasikh Salam showed the way to the pavilion to Nishant Sindhu (5) and Jason Holder (0).
Half of the Gujarat Titans team had returned to the pavilion on the score of 51 runs. After this, after scoring 8 runs, Washington became the victim of Sundar Duffy. RCB captain Rajat Patidar played a stormy inning of unbeaten 93 runs with the help of 5 fours and 9 sixes in just 33 balls. Virat Kohli and Krunal Pandya scored 43-43 runs. Venkatesh Iyer contributed 19 runs and Jitesh Sharma contributed 15 unbeaten runs. Kagiso Rabada and Jason Holder took 2-2 wickets for Gujarat Titans. While Prasidh Krishna got 1 success.
