In this match of Qualifier-1, Patidar played an important role in taking RCB to a huge score of 254/5 by scoring unbeaten 93 runs in just 33 balls. He remained just 7 runs away from his century, but his innings put the team in a strong position. This innings of Rajat Patidar became the joint highest score as a captain in IPL playoff history. Earlier, David Warner had also scored unbeaten 93 runs in the playoffs, but he faced 58 balls for this.




Apart from this, Patidar also recorded the second highest individual score for RCB in the playoffs. Interestingly, the highest playoff score for the franchise is also in his name when he scored an unbeaten 112 against Lucknow Super Giants in 2022.


Gujarat bowlers were badly beaten


In the first qualifier match of IPL 2026, Gujarat Titans bowlers gave away a lot of runs. Mohammed Siraj scored 46 runs in 3 overs, Kagiso Rabada scored 54 runs in 4, Jason Holder scored 39 runs in 4 and Prasidh Krishna spent 53 runs in 4 overs. If we talk about wickets, Kagiso Rabada and Jason Holder got 2 wickets each and Prasidh Krishna got 1 wicket.

Rahul Tewatia played a struggling inning of 68 runs in 43 balls. Whereas, Jos Buttler scored 29 runs in 11 balls. If we talk about RCB’s bowling, Jacob Duffy took maximum 3 wickets.
