During the trailer launch of his new film ‘Governor’ in Mumbai, famous actor Manoj Bajpayee expressed his opinion on the recent controversy involving Ranveer Singh. Answering media questions, he described the situation as extremely unfortunate and expressed hope that it would soon be resolved peacefully. Manoj said that most of the people in the film industry are getting information about this matter only through social media and news. No one has complete information about what actually happened.

Manoj Bajpayee’s concern

Manoj Bajpayee further said that as a member of the film industry, he hopes that this problem ends in a respectable manner without any major controversy. He expressed his concern, calling the current situation ‘very wrong’. However, he also said that even though he has never personally worked with Ranveer Singh in his career, he still wishes that this matter should not become more serious and both the parties should handle it peacefully.

Reason for controversy and allegations of makers

The controversy started when FWICE accused Ranveer Singh of leaving ‘Don 3’ suddenly. According to reports, filmmaker Farhan Akhtar had filed an official complaint with the ‘Indian Film and Television Directors Association’ IFTDA on 11 April 2026. The complaint was sent for review to FWICE, which held several meetings with people associated with the project and producer Ritesh Sidhwani.

During the meetings, the makers of ‘Don 3’ told the federation that around ₹45 crore had already been spent on pre-production before Ranveer left the film. After this huge loss, the film organization decided to take strict action against Ranveer.

Ranveer Singh’s official statement

Seeing the controversy growing, Ranveer Singh’s spokesperson released an official statement. The statement said that Ranveer has deep respect for the film industry and everyone associated with the ‘Don’ franchise. He deliberately decided to remain silent on the matter, as he believes that professional issues should be resolved with maturity and dignity rather than raising them in public.

The statement also made it clear that Ranveer’s focus at this time is only on his work and future projects. He wholeheartedly wishes for the success of the ‘Don’ franchise.
