‘Off Campus’ showrunner reveals Hannah and Garrett’s future in season 2

Having premiered earlier this month on Prime Video, Off Campus has already secured a second season, giving fans even more to be excited about.

Adapted from Elle Kennedy’s bestselling books, the show centers on an elite ice hockey team and the women in their lives at the fictional Briar University.

The first season centered on an “opposites attract” romance between introverted songwriter Hannah Wells (Ella Bright) and all-star hockey athlete Garrett Graham (Belmont Cameli) which started with a fake-dating trope.

With Off Campus set to follow an ensemble cast and shift leads each season, fans are left wondering that there may not be much more of Hannah and Garrett’s romance ahead.

In chat with Entertainment Weeklyshowrunner Louisa Levy cleared up fans’ concerns by confirming their return in the upcoming season, despite them not being the main focus.

“Hannah and Garrett are still in season 2,” she stated. “They’re still gonna be part of it, but their love story is not the thing that’s driving the season anymore.”

She further went on to explain that each season will also set up another love story alongside the main romance, ensuring there’s always a new couple to keep viewers hooked.

“We will always have a happily ever after of some kind, and then we’ll also have another love story that’s left hanging,” Louisa shared. “So that’s the structure and the model that we’re building. And the reason for that is because this is truly an ensemble, and I want audiences to know what they’re tuning in for the following season.”

“I want them to know who they’re showing up for and why, and what story needs to get resolved,” she added.
