A major food recall has been issued for a Marks and Spencer product, which poses a "possible health risk". The product at the centre of the notice is the retailer's own-brand Authentic Greek Yoghurt with Vanilla.

The recall has been triggered due to undeclared gluten within the product. The recall applies to the 500g pots of yoghurt, with only the batches with a use-by date of May 12, 2026 impacted. Alongside M&S's own recall notice, the Food Standards Agency (FSA) have shared a statement, highlighting the potential risks associated with the product.

The FSA said: "This product may contain gluten making it a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to gluten or have coeliac disease."

The retailer's notice elaborates further, stating, "Customer safety is of paramount importance to Marks and Spencer, and we take food safety extremely seriously.

"In the abundance of caution, Marks and Spencer is recalling Authentic Greek Vanilla Yoghurt-500g due to the possible presence of undeclared Gluten in a small number of packs.

"Please do not consume this product if you have an allergy or intolerance to Gluten. If you wish to exchange the product, you can return it to your nearest store, where a full refund will be given."

M&S reassured the public that "no other M&S products are affected" by the recall. The statement concluded: "We apologise to our customers for any inconvenience caused."

Point of sale notices will be prominently displayed in all retail outlets stocking this product, as well as on the Marks & Spencer website.
