After a well-established batting performance, the Rajasthan Royals’ bowling department excelled, successfully defending the target of 151 runs.


They secured a 27-run victory and successfully defended the target in the rain-affected game. Rajasthan Royals secured their third consecutive win in this season and retained top spot in the IPL 2026 Points table.


After being invited to bat first, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Suryavanshi opened the innings while Deepak Chahar opened the bowling attack.


The young duo made an aggressive start, scoring 59 runs in the powerplay (3.2 overs). Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal dealt with fours and sixes, scoring 80 runs for the 1st wicket.


Shardul Thakur brought the first breakthrough in the last ball of the 5th over dismissing Vaibhav Suryavanshi. The 15 year old scored 39 runs off 14 deliveries which included 1 four and 5 sixes.



AM Ghazanfar who introduced to bowling, bagged the wicket of Dhruv Jurel for 2 runs. In the meantime Yashavi Jaiswal smashed his fifty and continued his slaughter.


Ghazanfar bagged the wicket of Riyan Parag for 20 runs and Shimron Hetmyer came to bat. By the end of 11 overs, Rajasthan Royals went on to score 150 runs with Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 77* runs off 32 deliveries while Shirmron Hetmyer scored 6* runs off 7 deliveries.


AM Ghazanfar bagged two wickets while Shardul Thakur completed with one wicket tally.


Chasing a 151 run target, Rohit Sharma and Ryan Rickelton opened the innings while Jofra Archer opened the bowling attack.


Archer picked the wicket of Rickelton for 8 runs while Nandre Burger picked the wicket of Suryakumar Yadav for 5 runs.


With Sandeep Sharma picked the wicket of Rohit Sharma for 5 runs and Tilak Varma and Hardik Pandya at crease, Mumbai Indians scored 30 runs in the powerplay (3.2 overs).


Bishnoi picked the wickets for Hardik Pandya and Tilak Varma for 9 and 14 respectively. Sherfane Rutherford and Naman Dhir tried to stabilised the innings. However they got dismissed by Tushar Deshapande and Nandre Buger for 25 runs each.


After Sandeep Sharma dismissing Shardul Thakur for 8 runs, Mumbai Indians are down to last two wickets.


After Trent Boult’s run out for 1, Mumbai Indians went on to score 123 runs in the 11 over innings.


Nandre Burger, Sandeep Sharma and Ravi Bishnoi bagged two wickets each while Jofra Archer and Tushar Deshpande picked one wicket each.


Rajasthan Royals will play against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on April 10 at Barsapara Stadium, Guwahati.
