Hudson Williams lands recurring role in Netflix FTX series
Netflix is adding to the cast of its upcoming FTX drama The Altruistsa limited series based on the dramatic rise and collapse of the now-defunct cryptocurrency exchange.
The project, inspired by New York Magazine reporting, has been steadily building buzz since it was first announced in May 2025, with Julia Garner and Anthony Boyle attached to lead the story as Caroline Ellison and Sam Bankman-Fried.
Hudson Williams, best known for Heated Rivalryis among six actors set to take on recurring roles in the series.
He will portray Duncan Rheingans-Yoo, alongside Jennifer Grey as Sarah Fisher Ellison, Terry Chen as CZ, Elizabeth Adams as Hannah, Hannah Galway as Lucy, and William Mapother as Dr. Lerner.
According to the official logline, the series follows “two hyper-smart, ambitious young idealists” attempting to reshape the global financial system, only to be accused of misappropriating $8 billion, earning comparisons to a Gen Z-era Bonnie and Clyde.
Netflix has ordered eight episodes of the series, which was filmed across the summer and autumn of last year.
The project is helmed by co-showrunners and executive producers Graham Moore and Jacqueline Hoyt.
