Sanwer (Madhya Pradesh): Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan, aimed at providing modern agricultural techniques and scientific guidance to farmers, concluded in Solsinda village of Sanwer block.
Chief guest Kamal Borwal, janpad member and over 100 farmers and officials from various departments took part.
Rajesh Dhare, senior agriculture development officer, informed that the campaign, launched under Central Government’s directives was conducted from 29 May to 12 June across all gram panchayats of the district. He briefed farmers on departmental schemes and emphasised soybean sowing using seed treatment and Broad Bed Furrow methods for higher productivity and lower input cost.
Dr Preeti from the Animal Husbandry Department highlighted key schemes such as the Dr Ambedkar Kamdhenu Yojana and free vaccination programmes. Dr SR Dadhich from Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Kasturbagram, educated farmers on seasonal livestock diseases and timely vaccinations.
Horticulture Officer Rahul Patidar and Nodal Officer Sandeep Parmar provided insights on crop insurance, soil testing and sample collection. Farmer Arvind Singh Rathore shared his success with organic farming and effective stubble management.
Mahesh Rathore, District Minister of Bharatiya Kisan Sangh, urged collective farmer action and demanded government intervention for crop protection from nilgai (blue bulls).
