Lucknow. The Uttar Pradesh government has once again made it clear that now arbitrary affiliation in the education department will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Teachers, officers and employees working in schools and offices associated with the Basic and Secondary Education Department will no longer be able to stay at places other than their original place of posting. In this regard, the government has set a strict time limit of ten days and has given instructions that all the employees or teachers who are working somewhere else should be immediately sent back to their native place.

Additional Chief Secretary of Basic and Secondary Education Department, Partha Sarathi Sen Sharma has issued clear instructions to all subordinate officers in this regard. He said that it has been found that some officials have attached teachers and staff to departmental offices or other schools without the permission of the government, which is completely inappropriate. The government has given a strict warning to end all such affiliations immediately and not to associate anyone in future without permission.

Along with this, instructions have also been given to the Director General of School Education to submit a detailed report of this action within 10 days. This step has been taken because despite the orders issued earlier, many employees and teachers were working in departmental offices through “Jugaad” for years. This was not only affecting the teaching work but there was also a problem of shortage of staff in schools.

This decision of the government is being considered an important step towards bringing transparency in the education system and ensuring the actual presence of teachers in schools. This will also provide relief to those schools where shortage of teachers was being felt for a long time.
